While Boston Bruins fans are waiting to see if their hometown team lands Artemi Panarin before Monday’s NHL trade deadline, they received an appetizer Wednesday night when the Bruins acquired Charlie Coyle, 26, from the Minnesota Wild for Ryan Donato, 22, and a fifth-round pick. Coyle is a big, solidly-built, dependable forward. He’s an 18- to 20-goal scorer. Coyle can either play with David Krejci on the second line or be the centerpiece of the third line. Donato isn’t a sure bet. But he owns an incredible shot release. He could develop into a 30-goal scorer.
Boston Bruins may regret trading Ryan Donato
