If you needed more proof, opening day starter Luis Severino was shut down for two weeks with rotator cuff inflammation. The reaction was not throwing money at the problem by signing Dallas Keuchel or Gio Gonzalez. New York intends to address the situation internally unless the news about Severino gets worse because they are over the $206 Million luxury tax. That philosophy led them to pass on Manny Machado, but might come back to bite them.
